hi Joe - no ours wasn't pre-wired, which is mainly why I went for a wireless alarm. Wired alarms seem a lot cheaper if all the wiring is already in place. Did you take a look at the manuals for the wired alarms here? http://www.responseelectronics.com/store/pages.php?pageid=1

They might give you more of an idea of whats involved in installing a wired alarm.

Best of luck,
Damian.

I'm assuming it was built with MS SDK 7 for use on Windows 7. I tried it out and I don't get any audio (and PJSUA grumbles about it also). My curiosity then is, did this work on Windows 7, and did the audio work when making a call? Thanks for any insight.

Damian, looking to install a pre-wired alram system myself and found your blog very encouraging as I was a bit put off by my ability to complete it without a degree in electronics.

Was your system pre-wired also ? any more advice

Thanks

Eighteen months on from your post, I thought I'd mention a Tortoise-alike svn front end that works beautifully on Ubuntu Linux - RabbitVCS, it integrates with Nautilus in a similar fashion to that with which Tortoise integrated with Explorer.

I believe that it's not just limited to SVN either.

It even does the icon overlays that give an indication of the state of the folder/file (up-todate, changed, added etc.)

We use it for our development all of the time.

Great, thanks for the class. There's only one thing I think its not working, when you set the property "required=false", the validator is also triggered. The only way to fix it is to set the minlength to 0, missing that property...

I always built custom validators and I never used the PhoneNumberValidator until today.

So I opened the PhoneNumberValidator Class and I discovered it too.
Amazing... I would like to know the monkey that has developed this component :)

So, thanx a lot for your class.
It works perfectly and I avoid to waste time to write it...
